Appearance: Pale pinkish-orange to reddish-brown heartwood with creamy-white sapwood.

Characteristics: Straight grain with a fine, smooth texture. Sometimes characterized by small brown-black gum pockets. Machines and stains well. Fine furniture wood which turns darker with age.
